Downpipe & fuel pressure regulatior

Today ebay 3″ downpipe arrived and of course I had to check how it fits.

So it fits almost perfectly. Just the waterlines behind the downpipe are maybe a bit too close.

This is how the engine bay looks like at the moment.

Next thing to do is to test the fuellines for leaks and “fix” the exhaust manifold dump pipe place.

Almost everything in place :)

At the beginning of this week I got the Holset turbo and KKD exhaust manifold. And of course I had to try them on place right away :) Looks quite good, at least in my opinion.

So now I have to install the intake manifold and fuel pressure regulator and check the fuel system for leaks. Next thing is to modify the exhaust manifold as it was made to fit Supra. Aristo front suspiension is in different place so I need to change the location of the dump valve on the manifold. And then I need to make or buy a downpipe and also the Aeromotive fuel pump needs to be bought and installed :)

So what’s next?

Will there be bigger twins or just big single? Now after taking the twins out I just can’t think that I’m putting them back anymore. They were really a great pain in the ass to take off.

So now I’m thinking custom built exhaust manifold and Holset HX40 Super…Or maybe turbo trio? :o

Three way sequential turbo?

Twins finally flew away from their nest

Few weeks ago I managed to get the Aristo to a new garage. I have been there almost every evening since then :)

I have been disassembling twins package, took radiator and the hydraulic fan away to make room to something new ;)

Last night with help of my brother we finally took the twins away from their nest. So now it’s time to think what to do with them or what to put there as a replacement.

Twins gone

Soon back on the road

I had a little drawback with the transmission. Local Toyota dealership sold me wrong seal to my transmission so it leaked like the old one. Now there’s a new correct seal in place and everything seems fine. I just had the car in emission control and everything seems suprisingly good with one catalysator :) Now I’m just waiting for one of my rims to come back from fixing. It was quite badly bent as the last owner smashed it quite hard to side of the road(paving?). Hopefully they get it straight.

Here’s my beautiful spare tyre :)

New tranny in place and something else

There it goes. Transmission from -92 Aristo. Should be in “perfect” working order :)

Tranny in place. We ran a bit low on proper jacks, so why not to use 2 smaller on each other? Work safety before all!

Fitting of a new FMIC. Supra kit isn’t bolt-on. Had to cut some pipes and use some of original piping.

Old broken coil wires changed to new ones.

Burning before transmission failure

This was taken in last July about 5 minutes before we noticed that the transmission is leaking ALOT of oil :)

Transmission dropped and R154 manual on shopping list

On stands.. almost steady :)

Jack holding the transmission in place.

I think there’s something missing from this shaft?

Flywheel

Those bushes need to be changed also.

So after removal I really consider the manual conversion. I won’t spend any money on that auto tranny anymore.
